o) I took advantage of my volunteer opportunity at the 20116 SEATCA Teachers Convention.  I got to meet many teachers and learn from some of them as once my volunteer time was done we were able to attend sessions.  This shows that I understand the importance of how helpful professional development is for a teacher, especially a starting teacher.

l) This was a great volunteer experience which had us interacting with the students and staff of the Young Entrepeneurs Program.  This was a great opportunity to see another great organization that helps out the students in the Medicine Hat Community.  Also, seeing some events that I could be a part of when I am a teacher was very rewarding.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: b, l, n, o, p

b) This card shows my dedication to the structure of the Alberta education system.  It helps me to know what my responsibilities are as a teacher and reminds me that there are people and organizations out there like the ATA that keep me accountable but also there to provide communication and support.

n) This paper was done after visiting three very different and very unique schools in the city of Medicine Hat.  Especially when it comes to Elm Street School it shows the benefits to the students and teachers to have such a great relationship and partnership with the community.  Without them they would struggle to meet all the needs of the students and their families.  This paper also shows examples of how these relationships enhanced and maintained the quality of their schools.
