Summer Reading Coordinator

​From May 2017 to August 2017 I worked as the Summer Reading Coordinator for Brooks Public Library in Brooks Alberta.  I was in charge of facilitating school tours for the community and providing students with library cards.  I also had to lesson plan and implement 8 weeks worth of reading day camps for students ages 4-6 and 7-12.

Youth Center Worker

​As a Youth Center Worker at Ashton's Place in Brooks Alberta I was in charge of the well being of as many as 25 youth at a time.  We provided food services for them, a place to interact with their friends, study for school and a place to call home.  We had the youth do everything from volunteer in their community to putting on dinner theatre fundraisers.

​From October 2011 to June 2012 I worked as an Educational Assistant in Grasslands School Division No.6 at Central School in Brooks Alberta.  I was first in a 1/2 Day Kindergarten class and then was added to be in the Pre-K Class for the other half of the day.  I worked with kids with learning disabilities, behaviors, as well as physical disabilities.

​For two years I worked at Glengarry Childcare Society in Edmonton Alberta as a Daycare Supervisor.  I worked with Toddlers for a year and then went to be the Lead Worker with the Kindergarten kids.  I was in charge of daily planning that promoted the child's creativity, imagination, learning and physical fitness.
